Southshore
Southshore is a project with the aim of creating an innovation hub for tech companies and a reference in workplaces in the south shore of the greater Lisbon area.
The project comprises the refurbishment and rehabilitation of a warehouse into a modern office building. The warehouse is located in a prime location near the picturesque port town of Porto Brandão. The area is known for its natural beauty and its proximity to Lisbon.
The building will also have a new green area, a private parking lot, and a support building that can be used independently for example for a bar or restaurant.
The building design will preserve the original structure of the warehouse while incorporating modern elements. The ground floor will be left clear of circulation to maximize the view of Lisbon and the river. The high ceilings of the second floor also allow for a third level of use.
The “international orange” is a colour used in the aerospace and nautical industry to set objects apart from their surroundings, similar to safety orange, but deeper and with a more reddish tone.
The expanded side corridors provide circulation through each building section without compromising the original structure, especially on the second floor overcoming the existing beam height.
