Remote work

The actual panorama has changed. With the Coronavirus pandemic, we are all now facing a new reality while struggling to stay focused and up-to-date thru remote work with our office’s agenda for the next few weeks.

At OPENBOOK Architecture we are used to working the home feeling concept in our corporate projects, but not the opposite, I mean, the office feeling at home.

However, and even though we are not experts on remote work design, we would like to leave you some ideas on how to bring the office feeling home. We hope it helps!

- The home feeling is already there, so check on that one!
- Place a desk in a quiet place, if possible close to a window. Don’t forget how important it is for mental health to have exposure to direct light in the workplace.
- Set your home office exactly how you want it and please choose an ergonomic chair. A comfortable working environment will allow for maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Keep yourself on a schedule. You will have a lot of distractions during the day, especially if you have kids, so it’s important to keep in line with your daily tasks.
- Listen to your favourite music. No headphones needed.
- Stay connected online with your colleagues and when possible do a video call.
- Don’t forget your coffee breaks.

And most of all, stay home and keep safe.
