Construction Preparation Specialist

A technical role bridging design, cost and construction, focused on ensuring project feasibility and execution efficiency.

INTEGRA – Project Delivery Services is seeking a Construction Preparation Specialist to lead the technical pre-construction phase and support on-site execution, ensuring projects are viable, coherent and efficiently delivered. This role is particularly relevant within integrated delivery models, acting as a critical link between design, budgeting and construction.

INTEGRA is an integrated project delivery platform within the Openbook Group, operating at the intersection of design and construction. It supports projects across all phases, from early-stage concept through procurement and construction, ensuring that design intent is consistently translated into built reality. Its approach combines Design, Project and Construction Management within a single coordinated delivery model, particularly suited to complex, fast-track and high-demand projects.

As part of a multidisciplinary ecosystem, INTEGRA reflects the Openbook Group’s integrated model, where different areas collaborate to deliver cohesive, high-performance outcomes . The team is currently expanding and is looking for professionals interested in moving beyond conventional roles, contributing to a more transversal delivery environment with closer proximity to execution.


Responsibilities

Pre-Construction (Primary Focus)

  • Carry out detailed analysis of project documentation, identifying inconsistencies, risks and opportunities
  • Define construction methodologies and execution sequencing
  • Support the preparation of quantity take-offs and budgeting processes
  • Assist in procurement strategy definition and tender analysis
  • Develop technical solutions in coordination with design teams
  • Contribute to value engineering processes and optimisation of solutions

Construction Phase Support

  • Monitor on-site execution and validate implemented solutions
  • Support coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify and resolve on-site constraints
  • Ensure alignment between design, budget and execution

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and design teams
  • Ensure continuity between design and construction phases
  • Actively contribute to improving constructability and project efficiency

Planning and Control

  • Support the development and monitoring of construction schedules
  • Track progress and identify deviations
  • Assist in reporting and risk identification

Abilities

  • Degree in Architecture (preferred) or related field
  • Proven experience in construction preparation (mandatory)
  • Experience within a contractor environment (strongly valued)
  • Strong technical capability and construction-oriented thinking
  • Ability to critically assess design solutions
  • Practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to anticipate risks and constraints
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • High level of responsibility and ownership
